Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy Helps Reduce Symptoms of ADD and ADDH

The symptoms of ADD/ADHD include: distractibility, disorganization, forgetfulness, hyperactivity, fidgety, restlessness, and impulsivity. The exact cause of this disorder is unknown, however neuro-chemical imbalance in the brain, diet, genetics have been proposed as probable causes. Hypnosis and hypnotherapy has shown to be effective for ADD and ADHD. Those who have been helped with hypnosis report being calmer, less irritable, distracted and impulsive. In addition, concentration and memory improve with continued use of self-hypnosis.

Diagnosis of ADD/ADHD is done through testing at school or at a psychologist's office. Children as young as preschoolers can be diagnosed with ADHD if they are very hyperactive. Milder cases of ADD/ADHD are diagnosed later in middle or high school.

There is no curative treatment for ADD/ADHD, however through diet, vitamin supplements, education and hypnotherapy, children and adults can function well living with the disorder.

Teaching ADD/ADHD clients self-hypnosis, gives them a powerful tool which they can use anywhere at anytime. Since the state of hypnosis is focused awareness accompanied by a relaxing mind and body, ADD/ADHD clients will see a reduction or elimination of many of their symptoms.
